What we print for notaries and law firms

Notarial deeds and contracts have precise formal rules: the correct paper, copies faithful to the original, consistent pagination. We have worked with notaries and law firms in Rome's historic centre for years and we know the small conventions the bar applies.

Certified copies of notarial deeds

Certified copies of public deeds: property sales, gifts, company incorporations, mortgages, wills, powers of attorney. Double-sided or recto printing depending on practice, on paper of the required weight, tidy binding for archiving.

Corporate contracts

Commercial contracts, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), shareholders' agreements, employment contracts, service contracts. Fast printing in multiple copies for all parties to sign, with a title page and index if the contract is complex.

Private agreements

Authenticated or simple private agreements, settlements, acknowledgements of debt, leases. We can prepare the pages with signature lines, stamp duty marks (as you instruct) and initials in the page margins.

Public and administrative documents

Documents for the Public Administration, applications, hierarchical appeals, registered communications. Sober printing, standard double-sided, light thermal binding for bulky documents or stapling for short ones.

Legal stamped paper

For documents that formally require legal stamped paper (some notarial deeds, certain administrative acts) we always keep it in stock in the shop. Limited additional cost, stated clearly in the quote.

Index and dividers for bulky documents

For complex contracts (e.g. a business acquisition with attachments) we produce an analytical index, cardstock dividers between sections (parties, recitals, articles, attachments), and margin tabs for quick reference.

Three ways we work with notaries and firms

Not all jobs are the same. For notarial deeds there are three typical ways of working we offer, depending on volume and relationship.

Pay-as-you-go, per single deed

You send the PDF of the deed, we give you a quote, you pay on pickup with your preferred method. Invoice made out to the firm, the client or the notary. It works for those who come occasionally or for specific matters.

Monthly firm account

For notaries and law firms that work with us regularly we open an account with a single monthly invoice and payment at 30 days. One invoice at month-end, no card at the till every time. No minimum-volume requirement.

Recurring template for standard deeds

If your firm regularly prints deeds of the same type (e.g. standard lease contracts, standard powers of attorney, company incorporations), we set up the template once: from then on you just send us the parties' details, and the layout is done by you or by us.

Notarial deeds and contracts, printed properly

Notarial deeds have a particular feature compared with other legal documents: they are signed by several parties, authenticated by the notary, kept in the archive for decades, and possibly requested as a certified copy years later. The print has to last, has to be clear, has to be faithful to the original. A certified copy with loose pages, slack binding or faded text is a copy that causes problems over time.

GUUG has printed notarial deeds and contracts for notaries, law firms and end clients in Rome's historic centre since 2005. Most of the work is certified copies the notary releases to the client at the time of the deed, or additional copies requested later for submission to banks, estate agencies or public offices. We know the small differences in practice between Rome's notaries: the choice of paper, the way of binding, the copies to provide at signing and those the client will want to keep at home.

For corporate contracts and private agreements the flow is different: the document is prepared by the law firm, printed for all parties to sign (carefully identical copies), and possibly supplemented with separately signed attachments. Printing in multiple copies requires attention: all copies must be identical, there can be no pagination differences between one copy and another (risk of disputes over the "true" version). On this detail we leave nothing to chance.

To get a quote, send us the PDF of the deed at stampa@guug.it stating: number of copies, type of paper (standard, premium, legal stamped), preferred binding (thermal, spiral, saddle-stitch), any separate attachments. We reply within 30 minutes with cost and pickup time. For notaries with recurring needs, we can agree on fixed delivery procedures (pickup at a set time) for smoother repeat printing.

Related services for the Rome bar

Notaries and law firms often have cross-cutting needs that go beyond printing individual deeds.

Frequently asked questions

Do you print certified copies of notarial deeds?
Yes, we regularly print copies of notarial deeds that the client brings in to be reproduced for personal use or for submission to third parties (banks, estate agencies, administrative offices). The certified copy is the one the notary released, which we simply duplicate: print quality ensures legibility and durability over time. For the issue of a certified copy with official legal value (e.g. to be produced in court as evidence), contact directly the notary who drew up the deed.
Do you have legal stamped paper for documents that require it?
Yes, we keep legal stamped paper in the shop for documents that formally require it. We calculate the quantity needed in the quote based on the number of pages. Limited additional cost, clearly specified before printing starts. We don't handle the stamp duty marks directly (you get those at a tobacconist or online): you apply them to the document after pickup.
Do you print contracts in multiple identical copies for the parties to sign?
Yes, it's a common request. For a contract signed by several parties you need at least one copy per party, plus one for the notary if the deed is authenticated. We print all copies in series with care to ensure they are identical to each other: same pagination, same print quality, same binding. On complex contracts this detail is essential to avoid future disputes over "which was the true version".
How long does a 30-page contract in 5 copies take?
For a standard 30-page contract in 5 copies with thermal binding and a simple cover it takes about 20-30 minutes from when the PDF reaches us. If the copies are to be delivered, signed by you, to a third party (e.g. notary, counterparty), you can come to pick them up and take them directly, or arrange pickup at a specific time. For bulkier documents (e.g. business contracts with attachments) times grow in proportion to the volume.
Do you work with Rome notaries on a monthly cumulative account?
Yes. For notaries and law firms that work with us regularly we open an internal account with a single monthly invoice, payment at 30 days, no minimum-volume requirement. Each job is recorded with a description, number of copies and cost; at month-end you receive one invoice made out to the notary or the firm. To activate the account, email us at stampa@guug.it with billing details (name, VAT number, tax code, PEC, recipient code for electronic invoicing).
Do you print special or general powers of attorney for foreign offices?
Yes. Special powers of attorney, general powers of attorney, delegations and other authenticated agreements are frequent jobs. For powers of attorney intended for foreign countries (e.g. property transfers outside Italy, international corporate acts) a particularly careful level of printing is often needed: premium paper, sober binding, possibly a sworn translation already integrated. We don't do the translation ourselves (turn to a sworn translator of the bar), but we do the final printing of the translated document.
