My thesis has attached scores — how do you bind them?
It's a specialty of Conservatory theses that we handle regularly. Scores and large sheet music (A3 or even A2) are printed on dedicated paper and bound into the same volume in one of two ways: (a) folded in half as "plates" that open out during consultation, or (b) at the back of the volume as a standalone appendix. For musical notation we recommend 100gsm high-whiteness paper: the staves are much easier to read. Bring everything to the shop as PDFs: we'll do a test print of one score to check the rendering, then run the whole thesis.
I also need to print autograph scores in colour — can you handle those?
Yes. Autograph scores, compositional sketches and graphic appendices (Schenkerian analyses, colour-coded formal diagrams, reproductions of historical manuscripts) are printed on fine art paper with our Canon TX-4000 plotter and its 5 water-based Lucia inks. Colour rendering faithful to the original — excellent for facsimile reproductions and for theses involving philological research on manuscript sources.
