Three types of paper, three radically different results

The choice of paper is the single factor that most changes the final look of a photo. Come to the shop to see the samples in person: the difference can only be felt in your hands.

Glossy

Shiny surface, deep blacks, saturated colours. Ideal for landscapes, commercial portraits, fashion photos. It reflects light — less suited to prints framed in brightly lit areas.

Matte

Satin surface, no reflections. For professional portraits, photos to be framed, understated museum-style prints. Slightly softer colour rendering than glossy.

Cotton fine art

100% cotton, an art-gallery tactile feel. For photographic portfolios, exhibitions, limited editions. Hahnemühle and Canson papers, lasting over 100 years with proper storage.

What's the difference between glossy, matte and fine art paper?
Glossy paper has a shiny surface that enhances contrast and saturation: ideal for colour-rich photos (landscapes, commercial portraits). Matte eliminates reflections and has a more understated effect, perfect for professional portraits and photos to be framed. Fine art (Hahnemühle, Canson) is 100% cotton with an art-gallery tactile feel: for portfolios, exhibitions, photographic limited editions. What photo print sizes do you offer?
Standard sizes: 10x15, 13x18, 15x21 (A5), 20x25, 20x30, 24x30, 30x40, 30x45. Large sizes: A3 (30x42), A2 (42x59), A1 (59x84). For prints beyond A2 go to the large format page. Custom sizes (e.g. 50x70 panoramic, 60x60 square) are always feasible in digital printing.
Do you print from digital files or from film?
Only from digital files (JPG, TIFF, PSD, PNG). For scanning film or vintage prints at high resolution we have a professional scanner: go to the scanning page or bring us the film and we'll tell you what's feasible. The minimum resolution for sharp prints is 240-300 dpi at final size.
How much does it cost to print 50 10x15 photos?
For 50 10x15 colour photos on 300g coated paper: € 0.50 per photo (50 photos = € 25); for small quantities, up to 10 photos, € 1.00 each (13x18 format from € 1.00). The more photos you print, the less you pay per copy. For fine art quality (cotton paper) prices rise to € 1.50-3 per photo depending on the size. Do you print bound photo books?
Yes, bound photo books with a custom hardcover (printed directly on the cover) and inside pages in high-weight matte or glossy paper. Custom sizes (21x21 or 30x30 square, 21x30 panoramic landscape). Turnaround 3-5 working days. For details drop by the shop with your files: we'll prepare a tailored quote.
Is it better to print photos in-store or order them online?
It depends on your goal. The shop wins when live colour control, paper samples in hand, large formats and same-day delivery matter; online is perfectly fine for lots of small everyday prints. We discuss it plainly in the in-store or online guide.
