What we can scan for you

Loose sheets through the automatic feeder, everything else on the flatbed, large formats on the plotter. Documents, bound theses opened on the flatbed, floor plans up to A0, photos on paper.

A4 and A3 documents

Invoices, contracts, certificates, administrative paperwork. Scanner with automatic feeder for large batches: hundreds of pages in a few minutes.

Large formats (A2 → A0)

Floor plans, CAD drawings, technical drawings, maps, posters. For architects, engineers and surveyors who need to digitise project archives.

Bound theses and notes

Scanned open on the flatbed, page by page: near the gutter the text comes out slightly curved and darker. For theses, older theses and lecture notes you don't want to take apart.

Photos and works on paper

On the flatbed up to 600 dpi, as JPEG or TIFF for reprinting or archiving. No slides or negatives: that would need a film scanner, which we don't have.

Searchable PDF (OCR)

On request we apply OCR: the PDF text becomes selectable and searchable. Useful for archives, contracts and lecture notes you'll consult over time.

How much does scanning a document cost

The cost depends on the number of pages, the format (A4, A3, large format), the type of original (loose sheet, bound thesis, photo) and any OCR for searchable text. Starting guidelines:

Single A4 document

€ 0.10 per page (A3: € 0.20). Fast scanner, standard PDF file ready in a few minutes.

Large archives

Hundreds of pages? It starts at € 0.10 per page and above certain volumes we quote a flat rate. Scanner with automatic feeder, optional OCR for a digital archive.

OCR for searchable PDF

Small surcharge. Selectable and searchable PDF text, useful for long-term archives.

Large format (A2-A0)

€ 5 per metre (or part) on the plotter scanner: floor plans, CAD drawings, maps and posters up to A0.

Bound thesis

Custom quote: it is scanned open on the flatbed, page by page, so the price depends on the page count.
