Custom banners in Rome

The large-format plotter reaches 1118 mm in width (a rotated A0) by virtually unlimited length: this means we can make banners 4, 5, 6 metres long or more while keeping a single strip. For banners exceeding 1118 mm in height/width we make modular prints to be joined by stitching or overlap: even a 5x3 metre or 8x2 metre banner is doable. For giant banners (over 10 metres) we organise printing in sections.

The standard PVC for outdoor banners is 450g (laminated front and back, resistant to rain and sun). For heavier use or prolonged exposure we use 500g (stiffer, grommets more stable over time). For indoor use or short displays there are also lighter 380g PVCs (cheaper). All the PVCs we use are B1 fire-retardant where required.

Yes, the metal grommets (hole for a cord or hook, 8-12 mm diameter) are included in the price. Standard placement: at the 4 corners + one every 50 cm along the long sides (for banners > 2 metres). Custom placement on request (e.g. only on the top edge to hang from a railing, or a tight spacing every 30 cm for windy locations). For wall mounting without grommets you can use adhesive velcro tape.

A 450g PVC banner in continuous outdoor display lasts about 18-24 months before losing noticeable vibrancy (sun + rain + smog). Under cover or for occasional events only, they last much longer: 4-5 years with no problems. The main factor is UV sunlight: a banner facing south on a balcony degrades faster than one in a covered shop window.

A 200x80 cm banner in 450g PVC with grommets starts at € 90; 100x148 cm € 96, 300x100 cm € 140. For larger sizes the price scales proportionally. Modular printing for banners over 1118 mm wide: a small surcharge for stitching. Send exact sizes and files to stampa@guug.it for a custom quote.
