NABA thesis cover colors

The right color at your defense: not a generic shade but the exact tone — your university's brand or your faculty's tradition — with high-definition gold or silver foil.

Main color

NABA black

#1a1a1a — The NABA aesthetic is minimal, contemporary, international. Black with silver or white lettering is the most requested choice for theses and portfolios across its four programs (Fashion, Media Design, Visual Arts, Graphic Design). That said, Fashion Design students often choose brand-specific colors tied to their collection project.

NABA thesis printing: what to know

NABA — Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti — is Italy's largest private academy, founded in Milan in 1980 and opened in Rome in 2019 on Via Ostiense, between the Gasometro and the Centrale Montemartini. Recognized by the MUR since 1981, it awards first and second-level Academic Diplomas equivalent to a degree. From 2026/27 it is also opening a London campus.

GUUG is 5 km from the NABA campus at Via Ostiense 92: 18 minutes by car via the Lungotevere and Via Marmorata, 30 minutes by public transport (metro A from Ottaviano + metro B to Garbatella). We print around 50 NABA portfolios and theses a year: students producing fashion lookbooks, Visual Arts photo books, large-format Graphic Design boards, and Media Design thesis projects.

On this page you'll find GUUG's services designed for NABA students (fashion lookbooks, fine art for Visual, Graphic boards, custom formats), the campus location relative to us, and answers to the typical questions of students from the four main bachelor-level programs.

NABA Roma has a single campus at Via Ostiense 92 (00154 Roma): 6,000 sqm spread across three historic twentieth-century buildings in the Ostiense district. From GUUG it's 5 km, reachable in 18 minutes by car (Lungotevere → Via Marmorata) or 30 minutes by public transport (metro A Ottaviano → metro B Garbatella + a 5-minute walk). The handiest stop is Garbatella on metro B, or Piramide.

Frequently asked questions

How do you print a NABA Fashion Design lookbook?
For Fashion Design lookbooks we use custom formats (landscape album or portrait A3), heavyweight matte or glossy paper to bring out the photography, saddle-stitch binding for leaner projects or spiral for more structured ones. For sample copies we recommend cotton fine art paper: the tactile feel of a professional magazine.
I have 40 photographs for Visual Arts — what paper do you recommend?
For Visual Arts and photography projects we recommend cotton fine art paper or matte baryta: maximum color rendering and a gallery-grade tactile feel. Test print before the full run: come to the shop with a sample, we assess the result together, then launch the whole portfolio. We also do single large-format B0 plotter prints if you have exhibition images.
Graphic Design needs large-format boards: what sizes?
Large-format plotter up to B0 (1000×1414 mm), or standard A2 and A1. Matte or glossy paper depending on the project, at 200 or 250 gsm to ensure rigidity. For editorial projects we also print custom formats (square, landscape, scaled 16:9 screen format). Come to the shop with your files: in 5 minutes we'll work out the right format.
How far is GUUG from the NABA campus?
5 km from Via di Porta Castello 29 to Via Ostiense 92. By car it's 18 minutes via the Lungotevere and Via Marmorata (Testaccio area). By public transport: metro A from Ottaviano to Termini, then metro B to Garbatella, 30 minutes in total. Bus 23 along the Lungotevere is another direct option.
NABA is international: do you print theses in English?
Yes, we regularly handle theses and portfolios in English, including mixed Italian/English bibliographies and international editorial standards. Accented characters from other languages (Spanish, French, German) are handled without a hitch. From 2026/27 NABA is opening a London campus: for students moving there, we also arrange international shipping of the final portfolio.
How much does it cost to print a thesis?
Thermal binding starts at € 8, the hardcover from € 25; printing is € 0.05 per side in black and white and € 0.40 in colour. The exact price depends on pages, copies and finishing — you can calculate it with our configurator.
