✓ Live colour control
You see the print before paying for fifty: correct a colour cast, decide whether to raise or lower contrast. On a screen you would never know for sure.
There is no single answer: it depends on what you print. In-shop printing wins when quality, colour control and fast delivery matter; online is convenient for many small standard prints. An honest guide from a shop that does both, to pick the right route for the job.

Every time the result matters more than convenience: important prints, to display, to give or to sell.
You see the print before paying for fifty: correct a colour cast, decide whether to raise or lower contrast. On a screen you would never know for sure.
Glossy, matte, fine art: the difference is only felt by touching them under real light. In the shop you choose on the sample, not on a thumbnail.
For urgencies (an exhibition tomorrow, a last-minute gift) the shop prints and delivers in hours, without waiting for a courier.
For an A2, a cotton print or a framed artwork, the quality and file handling need a human eye and a dedicated printer.
Twenty years of printing means knowing which paper and size render best for your specific photo — advice an upload form will never give you.
Online is not the "enemy": for some jobs it is the sensible choice — and we say that as a shop that also sells online.
For 100 keepsake 10x15 prints, ordering online is convenient and fast: upload and receive at home.
Order from the sofa at any hour, no travel. If you have no special colour or paper needs, it is practical.
If you are not in town, online reaches you. Even with us: a thesis hardcover, for example, is ordered online with tracked shipping.
Pitting "local" against "online" is a false problem. The right question is not where to order, but what you are printing. A fine art print for an exhibition and 50 passport photos do not have the same needs: the first wants an eye, the right paper and a proof; the second just wants speed and price.
That is why we work on both fronts: for professional photo printing, fine art and large format we recommend coming to the shop in Rome (Prati) or sending the file with a proof; for other products, like a thesis hardcover, ordering online with tracked shipping is perfect. Choose the route based on the result you need. If in doubt, write to us: we will tell you honestly which is better.
