Belly bands and custom packaging

It depends on the perimeter of the box to be wrapped. Measure the 4 sides + a minimum 2 cm overlap for closing. For a 30x20x10 cm box the typical band is 30+20+30+20+2 = 102 cm long, 8-12 cm high. We can print up to about 100 cm in length per single band; beyond that it's better to make 2.

For bands and labels the minimum run is 100 pieces (50 too, with a surcharge). For custom packaging with a dedicated die the minimum is 200-300 pieces to amortize the cost of the die. Below these numbers the unit cost is high.

As a guide: 200 bands of 8x100 cm in color on 250g coated paper start from € 80-120 (€ 0.40-0.60 per band). Matte or glossy lamination adds 20-30%. For custom packaging (with a die) the price is higher. For an exact quote send the file to stampa@guug.it.

For direct contact with food you need certified food-grade papers (FDA, EU 1935/2004). You can print on FSC and recycled papers, but for unsealed food the risk is ink migration. For outer bands, labels on closed jars and gift packages, standard papers are fine. For specific doubts ask us and we'll find the right paper.
