Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a brochure, a booklet and a folded leaflet?
These words are often used interchangeably. Strictly speaking: a brochure is a commercial print item presenting a company, products or services (it may be folded or bound); a booklet is a few-page item saddle-stitched or spiral-bound; a folded leaflet is a single sheet folded into 2/3/4 panels. For bound booklets go to the booklets page; for folded leaflets to the folded leaflets page.
How many brochure formats do you print?
All standard commercial formats: A5 (15x21 cm, the most common for corporate brochures), A4 (21x30 cm, for more structured product catalogues), square 21x21 cm (a modern look for premium brands), plus custom formats on request. Flexible page count: from 4 (a single folded sheet) to 80+ pages saddle-stitched or spiral-bound.
Which paper do you recommend?
For standard corporate brochures, 130-170gsm coated paper (bright colour reproduction, moderate cost) is the most popular choice. For premium brochures with lots of photos we move up to 200-250gsm matte or glossy coated paper. For eco-conscious brochures, FSC-certified 170gsm recycled paper. For luxury brochures, cotton papers or coloured Fedrigoni stocks. Come to the shop to see the samples in person.

Do you have a graphic studio to design the brochure?
Yes, we have an in-house graphic studio. We design it from scratch starting from your brief, text, images and logo: first draft in 5-7 working days, 1-2 rounds of revisions included in the quote. If you just need to print a ready file: 24-48h from receipt. Print files with 3mm bleed, CMYK profile, images at 300 dpi minimum.
Can I have a custom brochure printed online?
Yes: send the print-ready PDF (or the material to lay out) to stampa@guug.it and we handle everything remotely — quote, digital proof to approve, printing and saddle-stitch binding. Pick up in our Rome Prati shop or express courier delivery within 24-48 hours across Italy.
